Harmoniously nestled into the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem, set high on the Gambasage hill overlooking the famous Grumeti River, Serengeti Simba Lodge is situated on the main path of the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. With awe-inspiring panoramic views of the vast savannah, Serengeti Simba Lodge is home to prolific birdlife and a stunning array of large game including: lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, elephant, bush buck, zebra, gazelle, topi and wildebeest. The vast wildebeest migration passes through the area twice a year on the annual trek through the Serengeti eco-system.
Located just outside the Fort Ikoma gate of Serengeti National Park, Serengeti Simba Lodge is accessible by road from Arusha (approximately 7 hours driving time) which is in turn linked to Dar es Salaam and Nairobi. From the north and western sides of Serengeti National Park, Serengeti Simba Lodge is accessible from Mwanza, Musoma and Kenya. Serengeti Simba Lodge can also be reached by air via charter or scheduled flights on light aircraft. Ikoma airstrip is a 15 minute drive and Seronera airstrip is approximately a 1 hour drive.
